![]() Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. “I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying. I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed” ( Genesis 26:3-4).Īnd once again God affirmed His promise to Isaac’s son, Jacob. ![]() “I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your father Abraham. ![]() Over a century later God reiterated this incredible promise to Abraham’s son, Isaac. “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing” ( Genesis 12:2). ![]() Never had God bestowed such a blessing of honor upon man. God’s promise to Abraham was the first of its kind. As we read about the tribes of Israel in Scripture, God’s redemptive plan for His people is shown through the complicated lives of each of these men of promise. ![]() Through the 12 sons of Jacob, that promise became a reality. Through one promise God set into motion a plan that would birth a great nation. ![]()
